Pendleton County, Where the town is named for Benjamin Franklin and the county for a man from Virginia.Where the tractor has right of way and nobody argues about it.Bowers Garage, who will be at the accident just before the fire department.Where the bank most people use opened in Franklin in 1925.Where the trout farm will oblige if the creek will not.Where one pastor serves three Methodist congregations and gets to all of them.Where a gravel road is not a lesser road.Where there is a vet on North Main, which matters more than you think if you travel with a dog.Where the maple sap starts running around the tenth of January.Where there is a cidery, a distillery, and a trail that joins them up.Where the weather at the top of the mountain is not the weather at the bottom.Where the grocery still traces back to the Franklin IGA Foodliner of 1970.
