Pendleton County, Where Starlink is the only service that works, on Tuesday at 2:41 in the afternoon.Where the store at the Rocks has been trading in the same building since 1902.Where the guides have been taking people up Seneca Rocks for thirty-six years.Where a filling station has a bakery, and the pepperoni rolls are the reason you stopped.Korner Shop Cafe in Franklin, where you are sure to run into someone you know.Where Mass is at noon on Sunday, and that is the whole schedule.Where some of the phone numbers start 540, because Virginia is that close.Where there is a cidery, a distillery, and a trail that joins them up.Where a good spring is worth more than a good well.Where "directly" means in a little while, and everybody is content with that.Where the teachers know every student by name, in the whole county.Where the maple sap starts running around the tenth of January.
